Best Work-From-Home Headsets
Now that you work from home, you may have discovered that your employer’s headset may not be as adequate as it was in the office. When you were in the office, you had a cubicle or office to block out the noises around you.
Depending on where you have set up your home office, you may not have control of the noises around you. This noise may be from your kids playing in the other room to your neighbor mowing their lawn. Now, most of us have no plans to work from home, and employers understand that.
However, if you work for a call center or you’re just in a Zoom meeting all day, you want your home office to be quiet, professional, and distraction-free. Therefore, having a good headset is very important. So here are some of the Best work-from-home headsets if you are on a budget.

The Lenovo H500 Pro is primarily for gaming. However, I read some reviews from people who purchased this headset to work from home. This headset is not wireless, but it is great if your employer requires your headset to be plugged into your PC or laptop.
Although the Lenovo H500 does not have active noise cancellation. The earmuffs are made so well that they block out the noises around you.
It comes with a retractable noise-canceling microphone. If you are on a call, the person you are talking to will only hear you and not any noises around you. The earmuffs are made with memory foam, Soft Protein, and Leather, so your ears will not get irritated and stay cool all day.

You can plug the headset into your cell phone as well as your computer. This headset can last for a few years before you have to replace it. The Plantronics Blackwire may not block sounds and distractions around you.
This headset does come with a noise-canceling microphone that works so well that you could have music playing low in the background, and your callers will only hear you. If you are looking for a great regular headset for work without bells and whistles, you may want to give this one a try.
OneOdio A71 Hi-Res Studio Recording Headphones

The One Odio A71 Hi-Res Studio Recording Headphones are probably the most budget-friendly headset that works pretty well. This Headset is compatible with almost all major video conferencing platforms. If you have a large head, this One Odio will fit perfectly.
However, If you will be wearing this headset 8 hours a day, five days a week, the headset frame may wear out quickly. The Audio is excellent, but you will hear some background noise if you have any kids playing or lawn mowing in the background.
The One Odio Computer headset does come with a removable noise-cancellation mic. You will sound clear to anyone you talk to using the headset, but the caller will hear slight background noise if it is near you. If you want a temporary headset that is inexpensive and works well, you should give this one a try.
In Conclusion
If you haven’t realized yet, I have personally owned all three of these headsets. The One Odio was the right price and worked great until the headset frame wasn’t as snug as I needed it to be. The Plantronics Blackwire C5220 was used when I worked in the office and when I began to work from home, but it lasted the longest.
As for the Lenovo H500, I purchased it because not only did I need to replace the One Odio headset, but I finally had the extra money to buy a headset with extra bells and whistles. Having said that, you have to choose the headset that works for you.
If you are on a small budget, get the One Odio. If you want a standard headset for work only, go with the Plantronics C5220. However, if you will be using your headset for more than just work, the Lenovo H500 is the way to go.
