How To Find Affiliate Marketing Programs

As an Affiliate Marketer, you will need a website or blog to promote your niche products or services. When promoting a service, you can write about other similar services and direct the reader to the one you represent.

However, suppose you will be promoting products. In that case, you want to have a variety of similar niche products to choose from to keep your niche website or blog profitable. Let’s discuss How to find Affiliate Marketing Programs.

Finding an affiliate program provider

You could always do a Google Search to find online retailers who sell the product or service that represents your niche. Unfortunately, searching each search result on google for the product or service can take a long time. To promote an online retailer’s products to get a commission, you must get permission to promote their products.

For Example, let’s say your niche is about how to keep floors clean. You may want to write a review about the best vacuum cleaner for 2021. However, if you’re going to get paid a commission for promoting the vacuum cleaner on your site, you will have to check to see if the online retailer offers an affiliate program.

Some online retailers do not offer an affiliate program to promote their products or services. Therefore if you write content about their content, you will not receive a commission for the referral. Amazon does offer an Affiliate Program called Amazon Affiliates

However, the commission percentage is only 10% or less. Suppose you write a post about a $250.00 Vacuum cleaner. Someone then clicks on an affiliate link from your article and makes a purchase. The most you will make is $25.00 for the referral. Therefore, If you want to earn higher commissions for the products or services you promote, finding an Affiliate Marketing Network is essential.

What is an Affiliate Marketing Network?

An Affiliate Marketing Network is like an online mall of online businesses that need you to promote their products and services. Once you sign up for one of these Affiliate Marketing Network programs, you can run a search in their database for online businesses that match your niche. Here are some Affiliate Marketing Networks you should consider.

In Conclusion

I have personally used all four Affiliate Marketing Networks. I use more than one because I like to have various products and services to offer my readers. There are many more affiliate marketing networks to choose from that I did not mention. I just wanted to make it easier for you on your journey into Affiliate Marketing.

Therefore I would suggest that you began with the Affiliate Marketing Network that offers the niche product or service that will best represent your website and blog. Do a little research on the online retailer that is offering the Affiliate Marketing program.

Check their commission rates, website, and see if there are any complaints from their existing customers. Making these extra steps will ensure you represent products and services that are the best for your readers. Rakuten sounds like a good network to sign up for. I haven’t used them yet, but I would like to check them out. Do you need to have a certain number of visitors on your website to qualify as an affiliate? I used to be a member of CJ Affiliates, but I found their platform not userfriendly, I had trouble finding companies to promote, so I just stopped using them. Amazon is easy to use, their commissions may be low, but the good thing is that it’s a popular platform. I also like Share-a-sale, it has a very user friendly platform and 1000s of companies you can promote.

      Hi Christine,

First, I want to say thank you for commenting on my post. It’s easy to signup for Rakuten. Now keep in mind Rakuten, CJ Affiliates, and Share-a-sale are like Affiliate Program Provider Mall. Once you are granted entrance, each business in that mall may still have discretion on whether or not they will allow you to promote their product.

For Example, when I signed up for Rakuten, I had very little traffic to my website. So I applied for four different affiliate marketing programs in Rakuten. Two of my application were denied because I did not have enough traffic. The other two approved my application because my niche matches their products.

Therefore each business within each affiliate program Provider will make the final decision on whether to let you promote their products or not. You are also right about Share A Sale. They do have a good reputation and have been around for a long time.
