Use Grammarly While Working From Home

Working From Home involves a lot more than just attending Zoom meetings each day. A lot of your communication will be via email, texts, and chats. How you communicate in writing with your boss, employees, co-workers, customers, and clients is looked at more closely than ever.

Instead of a normal face-to-face conversation, people will get to know you based on how well you write. Therefore, your choice of words, clarity, and grammar are crucial. So here is how to use Grammarly While Working From Home

What is Grammarly

Grammarly is a digital personal writing assistant that acts as your editor and proofreader. According to Wikipedia, Grammarly is a digital writing tool that uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to help you write efficiently. The Grammarly software can work on a Mac or PC as well as Android and iPhone.

How can I use Grammarly while Working From Home?

There are many ways you can use Grammarly while working from home. You can add Grammarly as an extension to your favorite web browsers like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.

When you add Grammarly as a browser extension, it will check your grammar, spelling, and tone on any documents, texts, or chats you write within the cloud software you use in your web browser. You can also download Grammarly as an add-on to Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Grammarly also has a document editor you can download to any Mac or Windows PC. The Grammarly document editor will allow you to copy and paste any email you write or any document you prepare to check for any grammatical errors.

How can I use Grammarly on the go?

Grammarly makes a keyboard app for both Android and iPhone. The great thing about this keyboard app is that it works within any app you are using to write, text, and chat on your smartphone.

The Grammarly keyboard app can be a Godsend if your job requires you to be in constant contact with your boss, co-workers, and employees, even when you are off work.

The app is intuitive and will make spelling and grammar suggestions as you are typing. This is excellent because it prevents you from responding to an important text improperly.

Can Grammarly make me a better writer?

The spell checker puts a red line under a word you have misspelled. Grammarly is intuitive and adapts to the way you write. Grammarly will make suggestions on correcting any errors without changing your voice.

You know how your tone of voice will sound to the people who will read your document or correspondence. This personal writing assistant will show you the proper punctuation to use for the style you are trying to convey.

You will eventually get so tired of Grammarly pointing out mistakes. It will force you to learn the proper way to write. As the saying goes, there is a method to their madness.

In Conclusion

To be honest, I have used Grammarly for over two years now, both their free version and premium version. The free version is excellent and gets you by. However, the premium version teaches you how to be a better writer. My text, chats, and documents have improved dramatically, primarily because of Grammarly. If you are working from home and want to perfect your communication with your boss, coworkers, customers, and clients, give Grammarly a try today!

Hey Moody, thanks for the post on Grammerly…
i did use this in the past on an older pc and found it to really slow it down…
Now having updated my machine i will try it again…
    I am interested in it’s learning capability…
If you have more than one job, i.e. the 9-5 and say blogging, can it learn that during the 9-5 you need to be more formal and while blogging you need to be more informal or does it just learn one style…
Is it a one off payment or monthly or yearly…..
Do they have specials come up and do you keep this post updated with them…or would you prefer me to sign up to be kept informed of offers…
    Many thanks
    Phil

Grammarly looks like a very useful piece of software and I will install it having read your review and see if I get on with it. I like the features of the Chrome extension and the office app, it means I can use it whilst working without having to stop and upload the text to a site.

Your review was nicely written and is clear and concise, thank you.

Hi Moody, excellent topic; I’m an addicted Grammarly user. You know, I’m not native English, so for me, it’s necessary to communicate. I’m still using it writing this comment, and it’s awesome. Using it daily, I also improved my writing English, and I don’t make the same mistakes anymore. As a result, I’m pleased and satisfy customers. About your site, it’s great noting to say. The theme is awesome, clear, and elegant. The articles are the right length.

    Great job!
