What is Affiliate Marketing For Beginners Guide
Before we delve into the ” What is Affiliate Marketing for Beginners Guide, ask yourself a few questions. Are you already working full-time, but you can’t seem to make ends meet? Unemployed and want to start your own business, but don’t have the funds to start? Tired of working for the man, and you are ready to be your own boss? Ready to learn something new?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Affiliate Market might be for you. Here is the beginner’s guide to affiliate marketing.
What is Affiliate Marketing
In the simplest terms, Affiliate Marketing is when you choose to market or advertise a niche product, whether physical, digital, or service, for a commission.
How do I Choose A niche product or service to promote
Choosing your niche product or service is probably the most important first step when becoming an Affiliate Marketer. You want to choose a niche product or service that you are passionate about. If you can’t find a product or service that you can convince a friend or family member they need, you have not found your niche.
What if I can’t find an affiliate program for my niche?
Not all online businesses have an affiliate program set up where you can get a commission if you promote their product or service. Frankly, some online businesses are doing well enough on their own without your help. I would suggest signing up with an Affiliate Marketing Network.
An Affiliate Marketing Network is like an Online Mall of Online businesses that want and need you to promote their products and services. Once you sign up for one of these Affiliate Marketing Network programs, you can run a search in their database for online businesses that match your niche. Here is a list of Affiliate Marketing Networks that have worked for me:
- Amazon Affiliates
- Commission Junction
- Rakuten
- Share A Sale
- Awin
Ok, I got my niche; now what?
If you have truly chosen your niche, you will need a website or blog to promote it. Your website or blog will be where you write reviews and post on your niche product or service. Let’s say your niche will be exercise bikes, and the idea is you write about your favorite exercise bike on your website and why anybody looking for an exercise bike should buy one.
Then, hopefully, when someone is online searching Google for an exercise bike, they come across your review of your favorite exercise bike. If someone reads your review, clicks on the affiliate link for the exercise bike, and buys the exercise bike, you get a percentage of the sale.
Where can I get a website or blog?
There are many websites and blog services online that will help you build your website or blog. I have tried a few out throughout the years. Here are some of the Best Websites and blog services I have used that you can try out for free:
- Wix
- GoDaddy
- Word Press
- Rubix
How do I get people to come to my Website or Blog?
Word of mouth is a great way to promote your niche and your site. You can let your friends and family know about your site, and that will generate some traffic. You first want to make sure the three major search engines, Google, Bing, and Yahoo, are listing your post and site on their search engine. Once you have done that, you want to promote any content you write on the following social media platforms:
- You Tube
In Conclusion
The Affiliate Marketing for Beginners Guide is just a crash course. I have to admit I have tried to run an online business and off over the past 20 years. I didn’t find success until I came across affiliate marketing. Now, I did not become successful on my own.
